A Note on the Binding of Hands
Excerpt from the United Council for Conscious and Compassionate Conduct’s Daily Practices for the Perfection of Personhood, (2nd Abridged Edition):
The ritual of binding the hands is best practiced in a group setting, as this context emphasizes the importance of both the individual’s struggle and societal responsibility. The effort to unbind one’s own hands reminds us of the constant effort needed to uncloud our consciousness in order to act rightly. The second to last member of the group to free zemself unties the last to remind us that living in society it is our duty to make sure that no one is left behind.
